iowa city video zine
is a video program offering a bi-monthly collaborative episode,
equipment/studio access, community & more.
operating within public space one; proudly a part of the media arts co-op.
about the episodes:
i.c.v.z episodes are made up of video submissions, stitched together in
"episode fashion" then publicly premiered every two months. each episode has a
deadline & a theme, which is a good way for media artists to get inspired and
motivated (season schedule is always released at the start of the cycle). our
goal is to continue on the legacy of public access media in iowa city with a
focus on experimental/diy video work. submissions are always open and public
screenings are always free <3

about the studio/resources:
the Media Arts Co-op (m.a.c) at Public Space One offers various resources for media artists of all kinds.
the studio was conceived when the local public access television station (PATV) shut down in 2019.
PATV decided to donate all of its equipment to Public Space One along with the trust that it would be continued to be utilized within the community.
M.A.C & PS1 PS1 is always open to anyone & its resources (such as equipment, computers, studio and more) can be checked out by members.

or studio nights (mondays 7pm), join the filmmakers feedback group (third thursday of every month, 7pm),
general m.a.c meetings (third tuesday of every month, 6pm) & i.c.v.z meetings (last monday of every month, 7pm) & keep tabs on upcoming media arts workshops & events!
